Elliot Hopper, a widower with three children, is in the midst of negotiating a transaction at this very moment. They must have incurred substantial expenses as a result of his wife's illness, and this transaction may provide some relief. However, he gets into a cab with a psychotic driver and ends up in a river. A contract must be completed and Elliot is sent back to ensure that his children are taken care of.
