Mothra comes to Tokyo forty-two years after her initial visit to warn mankind that they must return Mechagodzilla, along with Godzilla's bones, to the sea, because the dead must not be disturbed. Not doing so will lead to serious repercussions. However, Godzilla is back and only Mechagodzilla can protect Japan from his wrath.
