Mothra's dark counterpart, Battra, emerges and wants to kill humans on Earth's behalf, so she kills herself. The Cosmos are two tiny fairies who want to help. They call Mothra to fight the creature. Godzilla also shows up, so there is now a three-way fight for the Earth.
