An empty-nester Sydney Ragsdale and her little daughter move into an inherited house for the holidays after getting divorced only a few months prior. After spending more time in the local bookstore, Sydney meets a teacher who also acts as the village Santa, Mac, and becomes friends. Mac attempts to make Christmas dreams come true, and this year Sydney is at the top of his 'nice' list for Mac. Mac helps Sydney rediscover the joy of life, love, and the true meaning of Christmas when a new possibility with the bookstore presents itself.
