Kagome Higurashi is a modern day young girl who lives with her family by the old Higure shrine. Unbeknownst to Kagome, she is the reincarnation of priestess Kikyo and possesses the"Jewel of Four Souls" (the Shikon stone ). Kagome finds an old well near her home and also can be transported 1 ill-fated day through the well and into a feudal Japan, inhabited by demons. There, she encounters Inu Yasha, son of a demon father and a mother, who is immobilized into a tree with an amazing arrow.
