David, a failing actor, and Candy, a bookworm, who he dated before he came out as homosexual, occupy an apartment in the middle of a major city in Canada. Candy flirts with both same-sex and heterosexual partners at the same time, while David, who now works as a waiter, is involved in a meaningless relationship with a younger coworker. A serial killer is preying on the city's female population at the same time that David and Candy's peculiar group of acquaintances, which includes a telepathic sex worker and an ill-tempered yuppie, are coming and going from their beds.
