After their automobile crashes in the Scottish countryside, a pregnant woman and her husband are taken in by a farmer and his wife. Once inside, they discover their hosts' daughter is a missing child who was featured in the press some years ago. When the farmer and his wife warn the couple that they intend to retain their baby after it is born, the situation takes a nasty turn.
