Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, realizes he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector as he begins to experience blackouts and recollections of a previous existence. As Steven/foes Marc's close in on them, they must juggle their dual identities while immersed in a dangerous mystery among Egypt's great gods.
