William Castle directed this Sam Katzman production, an abrasive crime thriller concerning a newly-discharged seafarer that obtains a work as a longshoreman in The Big Easy. He quickly uncovers crowd corruption throughout the docks, and when a pal is eliminated by the gangsters, he convinces the police to allow him go undercover as well as take issues into his own hands.
