Liu Yifei plays Elso, a reputed flutist who travels into Chengdu. Her life is in relation to the one of a nighttime peacock, an eternal battle between life and death, time and love. A nighttime peacock, by Fabre's definition, is really just actually a moth of finding their soul mate with the entire lifetime goal.
