Fourteen year Nim, more determined than ever to protect her island and all the wildlife that call it home, faces off against animal poachers and hotel developers. Soon she admits she can not rely on her animal cohorts and has to make her initial friend -- Edmund, who is run away to the island by the mainland -- to rescue her home.
