Overview
Salomé, one of Al Pacino's directorial experiments, was shot over five days in 2011 but has yet to be widely released. It is part of a double feature on the Oscar Wilde short play "Salomé," along with the Venice-shown documentary "Wilde Salomé," which shows the making of this film. The IMDb synopsis for the 1923 adaptation of the play is as follows: "Salome, Herodias' daughter, seduces her stepfather/uncle Herod, governor of Judea, with a salacious dance. In exchange, he promises her the head of the prophet John the Baptist."
