Kumiko is a second year euphonium player. Kumiko will have to learn new things to deal with awkward and challenging underclassmen as they join the concert band. Her and third-year trumpeter Tomoe Kabe will lead the new underclassmen. The new members of Kumiko's bass section include euphonist Kanade Hisaishi, a stoic double bassist Motomu Tsukinaga, and tuba player Mirei Suzuki. A lot of issues develop between the Sunrise Festival, chair placement auditions, and the competition.
