Freshman high-school student Melinda has refused to speak since she called the cops to a summer holiday party. With her older friends snubbing her if you are a rat, along with her parents too busy to see her issues, she folds to herself, trying to cover her secret: that superstar senior Andy raped her at the bash. However, Melinda does manage to discover solace in her art class led by Mr. Freeman.
