A drifter wanders to a lawless town in the midst of a rush. By amazing the Mayor with his lightning dead eye pistol accuracy shocked by the amount of meals and food he takes the job of sheriff. He makes town council realize that he is really only passing through on his way to Australia and he'll pull up and leave anytime he chooses (including at the first sign of serious trouble). His first day on the job he takes to the biggest and matches his love interest.
