The Driver focuses primarily on driving cars. His ability has prevented him from being captured yet. After a second flight from the authorities a self-respecting detective makes it his primary goal. Pardons are promised by him if they help to convict him at a set robbery. The Driver expects help in The Player to deceive the detective.
