To bolster his acting reputation and secure a role as a tough officer on a new show, Hollywood action star Nick Lang strikes a deal with New York City Police Capt. Brix, who happens to be one of his fans. Nick will be paired with detective Lt. John Moss and will learn how to conduct himself like a true cop. However, when Nick drives John insane with inquiries and impersonations, he obstructs his investigation of a serial killer.
