Five people received envelopes containing information about an alien invasion after Zane Ziminski was discovered dead. Three scientists, Zane's brother Jack, and a reporter make up the group of five. The group is quickly reduced to three, followed by Jack and Bridget, the reporter. They must escape from the aliens who take human form using a small piece of alien technology and try to persuade others that aliens exist using a small piece of alien technology.
