As a writer named Mike attempts to produce his semi-autobiographical sitcom, his vision is gradually destroyed by a demanding network executive named Lenny, who prefers trashy reality television. The irony, of course, is that each crude suggestion Lenny makes increases the show's reception from test audiences and moves it closer to being broadcast.
