1 day, 14-year-old Yusuke Urameshi finds himself dead, having died pushing a child out from the way of oncoming traffic. Since he has a personality, surprise captured even the Spirit World that he would sacrifice himself. Yusuke discovers he was not likely to perish and offers a possibility of revival and bringing his body back . Yusuke becomes a Spirit Detective, along with his comrades, plus yet another adventure after another happens, if it be an evaluation or a championship, after being hammered.
