When the US military recovers a terrorist's body tainted with a stolen chemical, the corpse is incinerated, accidentally unleashing the virus/bacteria into the atmosphere over a tiny island. Soon after, the infected population mutates into flesh-hungry zombies, and a trio of soldiers on leave must band together with a group of tourists and bunker down in an abandoned hotel to fend off the agile and violent living dead.
