Buddy is an abandoned young cocker spaniel waiting in his own cage for a sort, fresh owner. Suddenly, a boy whose hair is as red as Buddy's, Billy, appears. It's love at first sight and also the beginning of a friendship. But also for the parents of Billy, that is the place where the difficulty starts.
