Katarina is 20 years old. With a past in a dull suburb, her life is apparently already set in stone - until she finds music. What changes if she hears a performance of Mozart's'Requiem' at the Gothenburg Concert Hall that opens up a beautiful world and sends her reeling. She feels that she has to improve her own life and make away from her reality. But proves to be a treacherous one, filled with also a liaison, betrayal and also lies with the married conductor Adam. Yet Katarina is willing to do anything to attain her new individuality.
